The Operations Manager

Based at our Slough HQ, the Operations Manager is tasked with the following key roles and responsibilities:

  • Ensuring the highest possible standards in engineering practice and service delivery.
  • Health and Safety matters pertaining to the work Acorn is engaged to carry out.
  • The communication and presentation of documentation reporting the progress, technical and financial aspects of the contract.
  • Scheduling of in-house engineering resources.
  • Specialist sub-contractor procurement and management.
  • Spares procurement, handling, inventory and storage.
  • Regular site attendance to monitor and evaluate for compliance, the status and quality of work undertaken.
  • Ensure that site based documentation reflects the current status of PPM.
  • Provide technical advice in all areas of our remit, especially for business critical considerations – Plant condition/obsolescence reports and any associated risk to business operations, capital plant replacement schemes, impact on environmental issues and sustainability.
  • Undertake regular site audits
  • Be accessible to our clients – Operations Managers are contactable 24/7.
